We recommend UDP, which is faster (we estimate a factor of 3). But your circumstances may require TCP. For example, some organizational firewalls (notably those without connection tracking, or those where connection tracking is misconfigured) can only use TCP. Or you may be on a lossy network. |

To your MTA, Karmasphere can appear as just another DNSBL.
No special clients are needed. Just use dig or nslookup.
Each feed or feedset has its own pair of zones. They look like: karmasphere.email-sender-ip.dnswl.karmasphere.com.
To find the appropriate zone for a given feedset, you must subscribe to it first.
Note that queries will only work from IPs you have designated.
Credentials are required for authentication. FAQ: Network queries require authentication. What's that about?
If you've registered for an account, you should you use your permanent credentials. Those credentials do not expire. When you configure your client, plug those credentials in, then forget about them.
We provide temporary credentials for people who are too impatient to register.
They will expire within a few days. Replace them with your permanent credentials when you sign up.
